Why use the macmama?

My name is Cookie Segelstein, I’m 57 years old and I am a professional musician, a mother of 2, and a nerd. Since I switched from Windows to Mac about 13 years ago, I have been in love with the file system architecture of Apple’s products. So, I began reading, tinkering, exploring, and eventually became the “go-to gal” for most of my family, friends at home, and colleagues when we were on tour. I decided to pursue my “Mac studies” further, and eventually became certified by Apple to provide support for Mac OS X. I am also comfortable with most of the early OS X systems, having started myself with OS X 10.0.

Why use the macmama? Because, like you, I am a very busy person. I know how disruptive it can be when your computer is down. Maybe you have a new Mac, and have no idea how to use it, set it up, and wish you could become more comfortable with it. Maybe your printer does not work, you can’t send email, your mouse cursor keeps freezing, or your Mac is just plain misbehaving. I have solved all of those problems for myself and others, and I can solve them for you. While we are diagnosing your problem, if it’s a hardware issue and I can’t fix it, I will recommend someone who can.

In my life as a musician, I have to work with people of all ages and nationalities. I have managed my own groups for 30 years and have taught music to folks from 3-93. I taught my Hungarian mother of 80 how to use her Mac, so if you are befuddled by your machine, I can teach you how to use and become comfortable with it. By the way, check out the links above to see some of the musical groups I play with.
